Most plumbing services advertised in Kuwait are brokers: they take the call, then pass it to a technician they don’t know and don’t stand behind. If the fault comes back, nobody answers. At Seyana, the technician at your door is our employee, and the work is recorded under the company’s name.
Blocked drains are what we’re called about most. They rarely happen suddenly — it usually starts with slow drainage or a smell, then becomes a full blockage or a backup. The earlier it’s dealt with, the simpler and cheaper the repair.
Is it one fixture or several? Slow drainage in the kitchen alone is usually a local problem. If it shows in the bathroom and kitchen together, or across more than one floor, the issue is in the network — and that can’t be solved from the drain opening.
Check the strainer first. A lot of slow drainage is hair or food debris in the strainer itself. It takes a minute to clear, and may save you the call.
If water is backing up, stop using it. Running water or flushing makes the backup worse and brings it to the floor.
Don’t pour chemicals before the technician arrives. It makes clearing harder and more dangerous for whoever works on it, and can weaken pipes.
If the problem persists after these steps, it needs inspection.
Inspection — We locate the blockage and its extent before starting, and establish whether it’s at one point or in the network.
Clearing — Pressure jetting or electric snake depending on the blockage type, location, and pipework. We determine what’s appropriate after inspection and arrange it.
Drainage check — We run water and watch it drain before leaving the site.
Explaining the cause — We explain what caused the blockage and what prevents it recurring, particularly where the network is involved.
We don’t use caustic chemicals as a primary solution. They open a blockage temporarily but weaken older pipes and increase deposits, and the blockage returns faster. They’re used in limited cases only.
And we don’t start breaking before clearing and inspection are exhausted.
